Even the weakest enemies are threats-Has a cool soundtrack-CheapCons:-Placing your characters in the front/back row doesn't seem to have any effect on their likelihood to get hit (from my experience)-Basically no tooltips. I have no clue what the stats do, what the stats requirements for different items are, what item what kind of debuff triggers and how high the chance of that ocurring is-Balance issues. Monster can kill characters in 2 hits while you might need 40. This makes even "simple" battles against rats ridiculously hard and unnecessary long. Kiting is often the my only option to kill certain monsters and that can be really time consuming.-Time consuming x2. Regenerating mana and hp might need ~3 minutes and you can't tab out (which is intended and okay I guess). It's absolutely necessary to do that, especially in floors with traps you can't avoid. You'll need a lot of patience.(Although I've been playing PC games for a more than 20 years I've never played the old dungeon crawlers and maybe some of the flaws I pointed out are actually an essential part of them like the missing tooltips. It could be part of the game to discover the properties of certain melee weapons for example.)I've died often and maybe it's because I didn't roll long enough or have a bad party setup but I'm still having a lot of fun. I recommmend it if you have patience and enjoy hard challenges.Also: As far as I know this game was done by just one guy, so props for that.edit: Just saved before walking on a trap. Game saved a few frames after I started and now my file is useless. Since manual saving deletes all autosaves I'd have to start from scratch. ♥♥♥♥ this.. If your hard up for a Dungeon Masterish feeling you may like this.Keep these things in mind before buying.No resting. At least no way I have ever found. You need to just sit there and wait for health and mana to come back.Clunky combat and not balanced at all. A bat or rat can very easily wipe the whole party.And if you get more than one at a time or right after each other your screwed.. i played again and again and again games like this including might and magic 6 to 8 and i will say it again i played them many many many times because i love games like this one. after i found out this game, i immediately bought this one and DLd it, installed and played RIGHT AWAY! i was VERY VERY EXCITED to play it.. but then again, my whole world came crushing down on me. i ddnt excpect a lvl 1 rat can be as tough as a freaking world boss!?!? i got the highest roll in hit rate of my thief but then again i keep on missing which makes my team almost being wiped out by A LVL 1 RAT!?! my 2 fighters cant even tank this LVL 1 RAT!?! the other thing is, i cant freely move during fights. when 2 LVL 1 RATS CAME, i ran into a choke point so that i can kill them 1 by 1, but then again A LVL 1 BAT WAS BEHIND ME, so its 100000000% GG for me. sorry, i really tried to love this game because im a sucker for games like this one but i really cant, nope, i really cant. sorry.. Really want to like this game. The concept is great, just love the solo dungeon crawlers. But... the controls are confusing and hard to set, the combat system is clunky, and the monsters on the first levels are impossible to defeat. Hopefully the developer will work on this and get the balance right. Again, I really want to like this game, but...EDIT: After giving the game some time, I have to change my recommendation to a yes. The combat takes a lot of practice, but once you get the hang of it the monsters are defeatable. And frankly, the game pulls you in and it's hard to stop playing.. I picked up this game with how much it looked like Grimrock (and for all intents and purposes, I will be comparing it to that game because it is a near Grimrock clone). That, and I enjoyed the humor that was shown in the videos.And I am sad to say, I am disappointed.Overall, the story and set up is great. There are secrets and puzzles that are awesome.The combat? Blows.You cannot move around quickly like you do in Grimrock. You need to WAIT until all your characters have ended their combat refresh before you can move.There are literally no way to heal yourself outside of Potions. And, to really make it hurt, you have a chance to football style slam the flask on the ground after you drink! WTF??My mage has zero spells. The only thing that makes her worth it is her ability to mix potions ... if I could ever find any ingredients outside of one small area.Arrows cannot be retrieved. So when you are out, well .. you're SoL.You get one skill point when you level, which isn't even explained to you. So whoopsie if you put that in the wrong spot! No reversing it.I would not recommend this game to anyone. I only got to Sublevel 5 and I stopped as it just wasn't enjoyable.
